ST. LOUIS, MO (2008-02-19) Hundreds of protesters converged on the steps of the Washington University Music Building on Tuesday to demonstrate against former U.S. Attorney General Alberto Gonzales.

Gonzales was the featured speaker in a talk sponsored by the school's College Republicans organization.

College Republican Vice President Ryan Winograd said the event has served the purpose of fostering political dialogue on campus.

"He has a unique perspective, he was a significant player in a lot of the events we've seen unfold. We can talk about Guantanamo, wire tapping, all the controversies, U.S. Attorney firings...he's going to bring a point of view that we have not heard before." <--- Hey dimweed why is it that we haven't heard these before? Ask Gonzo maybe he will remember.

Gonzales was paid a sum of $30,000 for the event; some students and faculty said that was too much.

The sum came out of student government funds, which were approved by an elected panel.

The event was closed to the media.

2. $30,000? A mere bag of shells.
Lot o dough to hear him say he tells the truth. He couldn't recall what he ate for breakfast, the lying bastard. I can remember when I was in college there were kids who were for Nixon, during Watergate. They were dipshits, and the college republics today are even bigger dipshits. They're soakshits.

3. It's been almost 6 months now
and stil Gonzo can't remember where he parked his car. He spends all day just walking around DC hitting the trunk button on his car remote, hoping... praying that a trunk pops open... just out there wondering around....

4. $30,000
Maybe they should have given him 30 pieces of silver, valued at $1,000 each. Gonzo would have a nagging suspicion that there was some kind of significance to that, but he just can't quite remember what it is.
