Broder finally repudiates Bush ‘comeback’ column. |

http://thinkprogress.org/2008/02/27/broder-finally-repudiates-bush-comeback-column/Broder finally repudiates Bush ‘comeback’ column. Last February, Washington Post columnist David Broder wrote a column arguing that President Bush was “poised for a political comeback.” Over the past year, he repeatedly defended his claim, but in an online chat today, Broder finally repudiated his column, saying “that was certainly one of my less astute observations“I would phrase it differently from Broder's "less astute" description. I say it was real stupid, just plain dumb. Only delusional people believed him.

I understand that political punditry involves some prognostication, so columnists and other pundits are going to, on occasion, be wrong. But goddamn it, when you're this wrong this often, it's time to get shown the door.

What's next, Dean Broder? Water really is wet and torture isn't an effective foreign policy?
