So, what's up with that Libby juror? What on Earth could she have
seen on TV? I haven't seen any other posts about this or about the Libby trial today. Anyone else hear about the juror being let go today? So now, there will only be the 11...

Libby is guilty. I can't figure out what is taking so long for them to make the call.

I was away from DU all day. I wondered if anyone else heard about this?

Due process
It takes an age because, if you rush things, there's always a chance that something could be missed or improperly dealt with which would open the way for an appeal or even a judicial review on grounds of unfair trial.

Frustrating, I know but if we want the prosecution to stick, things have to be done in a slow and careful way.

1. The story is here
Edited on Mon Feb-26-07 11:37 PM by azurnoir
it kind of sounds like she did not much want to be there anyway. As to what's taking them -a good lawyer can obfuscate to the point of making yellow in to purple at least for a while
on edit Prophet 51 said it better however short of a video tape with Libby saying we're gunna' plant this story to discredit Joe Wilson any guilty verdict will be appealed

4. Who cares if she wanted to be there? It was her duty. Thank you
for the link to the story.

9. I worded it far too politely
what I wanted to say was that she sounded like a pi**y biotch, but you are right it is her duty.

2. There are several DU discussions about it today. The bad part is that
it seems that libby's people are really pleased she was kicked off.

3. You shouldn't just assume that Libby is guilty....
....he is granted the 'due process of the law' ~ he's innocent until proven GUILTY ~ just as the folks in Gitmo and Abu Graib are granted.....

oh wait....

11. Yeah but in Libbys case he's guilty, there is no dispute that
Edited on Tue Feb-27-07 12:28 AM by walldude
the man lied, they are just debating whether he's just stupid and forgot, or he's an asshole and did it on purpose. I wish the jury would come out like that too "Your honor, we the jury find the defendant to be just a complete moron. He's free to go." or "Your honor, we the jury find this man to be a complete and utter asshole, 10 years in the Federal Country Club."

edit for speeling

10. Reported she was the one juror who didn't...
...wear the cutesy T-shirt on Valentine's Day. Not a team player?

13. Hmm, I wondered if she was the one who refused to join their
stunt. I am still very uncomfortable with their Valentine's weirdness.

16. If I were on that jury
and they tried to get me to wear one of those dumb-ass shirts, I would have told them to kiss my ass. That, alone, doesn't make me a bad person. There is plenty else to make me that.

17. To be honest, I don't know what to think about that scenario.
Is Fitz going to continue the investigation since the CIA requested to investigate the leak? I don't know. I suppose it will increase the cowardice to do anything about administration transgressions and the Iraq war in Congress.

18. I look for Libby trial news
and all I end up learning is where Anna is being buried and britney being bald and fucked up. I agree, what could they have seen. Probably watched the daily show.
