A Thank You DU! Post.

Over the weekend, as some of you may know, I posted to appeal for us to help out a friend, Canadian author, Jules Carlylse who wrote the fabulous book, 'DUMBASS'. I just wanted to thank everyone for the response. She is very grateful, as am I. It's a tough world out there and the people who are able to look past their own problems and come together to help perfect strangers are the ones who truly make a difference in this world. DU, you are those people and you inspire me. Thank you so much!

What is truly sad is apparently my post ended up on a conservative version of this site (which I was not even aware of) and they said some pretty horrible things about her, I don't know how she found it, maybe, some vile person sent it to her. I was afraid to ask. Anyway, it hurt her, and I just hope our outpouring of positive overcame their nasty negative. Thank you again for being the people you are. They love to ridicule and call names and cause hurt. If they thought sending the link would cause a "liberal" some pain, they'd trip all over themselves to be the first to do so. Funny thing is, they STILL think people get "tombstoned" here for mentioning their crummy site.

Because I refuse to mention their name in relation to this thread. They think it is because I fear getting tombstoned! LOL! How long have I been on DU, and how many times have they held their breath waiting for me to get ts'd? :rofl: I've mentioned their name here so many times I've lost count, then it pisses them off when the threads don't get deleted or I don't get banned. They're really a troubled lot. Several of them are clearly mentally ill, and I don't mean that in an insulting way, I mean seriously mentally ill.

Well in the end, the whole thing brought you to DU, so we have their attack to thank for your now being in our midst. Sometimes good things come out of bad, which is certainly the case here.

certainly not indicative of us as people, but says a whole hell of a lot about them. they couldn't be more hate filled and their only intent is to hurt another. oh.... so sad. but their problem.
