Our Party needs a General of political warfare
Edited on Wed Feb-28-07 12:32 PM by ck4829
Reid is talking about non-binding resolutions and "embarrassing" a President who has no sense of shame.

What we need to do is:
Freeze Judicial Nominees
Freeze Cabinet Nominees
Subpoena everything and anything
Non-Stop Investigations
Stop Bush's Domestic Agenda

My goodness, with Reid's strategy you'd think there must be something in the drinking water or something.

1. Aren't Leahy and Conyers already subpoenaing everything under the sun?
Or am I mistaken here?

3. That's good if they are
It's Reid who needs to show some teeth though.

2. The problem is there are too many in our party that are part of the machine.

They don't want any effective opposition to the agenda.

4. I agree 100%.
The golden rule approach isn't gonna cut it. I believe that if they don't act decisively, '08 isn't going to turn out the way everybody thinks it will.

5. This is how Clinton was ABLE to win in 1992 - constant investigations and subpoenas of Bush1
and his WH. They never let up throughout his entire term, even when he gained approval after first Gulf war victory.

The pounding continued with IranContra and BCCI headlines, and then Gonzalez added to it with Iraqgate investigation.
