Corporations are already shilling to get your stimulus checks...
I just saw a commercial from Advanced Auto asking "what are *you* going to spend your stimulus check on? Keep your vehicle in good running condition because remember, if it's not working, neither are you!"...

:puke:

Anyone else seen anything like this??

1. just seen stores trying to get their paws on the checks..
cash the check at our store, we will give you a gift card....I am putting mine in the bank, will probably need it later for heating bills and whatever else the govt and big business decides to gouge in the next few months.

2. Yes. Wal-Mart will let you turn in your check for a $600 Wal-Mart card.
I'm not sure how you can make this illegal but it should be.

I plan on banking mine. First, it's the prudent thing to do and second, I don't feel like giving Bushco an economic bump. If I had credit card debt, I would use it directly for that.

3. WalMart has said they will
cash the checks without charging any fees! (How nice of them!) And if you use the money to buy one of their new credit cards, they will waive the setup fees. KMart is offering a percentage bonus if you use the money to buy a gift card there. (Use $600 to buy the card and its loaded with $660, I believe, but I may be off on the percentage). Saw this on yahoo the other day.

4. Actually, getting your car serviced is not a bad way to use the stimulus check.
A good tune up could improve your gas mileage and save you more than amount of the check in a year's time.
