Cindy McCain jokes about husband on Leno

When the couple first met at a party — she was a 25-year-old teacher, he was a 42-year-old Navy officer separated from his wife — they fibbed about their ages. Cindy McCain added four years to her age, while McCain lopped four years off his.

"We found out when we applied for our marriage license — they publish it in the newspaper," she told Leno.

And they didn't exactly hit it off at the party.

"He kind of chased me around ... an hors d'oeuvre table," she said. "I was trying to get something to eat and I thought, 'You know, this guy's kind of weird.'"

8. It's a good story

because apparently Republicans have youthful digressions that make them more "like" us, so we can have a beer with them. Democrats however have acts of immoral acts that show they aren't like you even if those acts are done by other people that simply know the Democratic candidate. Which is why it's perfectly laughable story about Mitt and his dog on the roof, but absolutely shocking that Clinton once might have touched pot in the 1960s. No doubt if the media treated similar stories the same between candidates Republicans would be a lot less loose with their stories.
