Pelosi says more stimulus needed, Bush "in denial"
By Kevin Drawbaugh

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - House Speaker Nancy Pelosi on Tuesday called for a second economic stimulus package and said President George W. Bush is "in denial" about the U.S. economy, drawing a sharp White House response.

Tax rebate checks are in the mail to millions of Americans under a $152 billion economic stimulus package passed by Congress earlier this year and signed into law by Bush.

"It's clear there is a need for a second stimulus," Pelosi, a California Democrat, told reporters at a news conference.

2. someone who is not living in reality needs psychological
and psychiatric help, and there are no two ways about it. We all know that we truly have a mental case in the WH, and is a true threat. Too bad........they do not confront him on this.

Cheney has psychological problems too.

3. If they really want to help.......build infrastructure.
Bridges, Roads, Airports.

These give people jobs that are long term stimulus while building value.

Instead Bush is trying his damndest to get the money to his fat cat buddys.

6. Pelosi is positioning herself....
....for the veep slot.

She's engaging in very popular moves--so that when Obama announces that she
is his running mate---she will be in the minds of many Dems in a positive light.

I'm telling ya....it's going to happen.

You heard it here first! :)

10. Why not?
Wow, that's quite a reaction, to the suggestion that Pelosi would be Obama's running mate.

Why do you feel so strongly that he wouldn't pick her?

And by the way...I disagree a great deal with Pelosi and some of her past actions. I'm
not some Pelosi cheerleader. I just think that Obama is going to pick her.

So....why do you think it's out of the question?

7. Surely she's not THAT stupid.
Well, maybe she is. Maybe her brain is off the table.

Bus is not denying anything. He's doing exactly what repukes do. Rewarding his cronies. Bush sends us a loan on next year's tax refund so that we can turn around and give the money to his oil cronies this summer. Voila! Makes the CEOs of Exxon and Texaco hard. "Stimulus."
