How do you include a picture in a post?

Not a link to the picture, but the actual photo itself. Can someone please enlighten me?

1. Unless you have a Mac, it's easy.

Right click on the picture. Go to properties. Copy the link, and paste the link - not a copy of the pic itself, but the link - into the body of the copy you post.

So easy, even Smilin' Bob could do it.

two buttons. they are activated by rocking the mouse.

Find an image online, say one of Mike Huckabee inserting his foot under his hood and into his mouth.

Copy and past the URL (the internets address) into the "message box"for DU and voila!

Everyone can see what a closet racist Mike Huckabee is!

2. Right click, properties, block and copy, post in the body of a message.

Unless it's on your computer, then you need to host it somewhere like Photobucket and then post the URL in the body of your post.

upload your pictures to photobucket and then paste the url in your post. It took me a long time to figure it out myself. The instructions on the FAQ page are less than clear.

8. You include the actual file name of the picture you want to post in the link.

Go to the picture you want to post and press your right mouse
key over it. Go down and select properties.
Go up on the dialog box which pops up and copy the -complete-
URL of the picture you want to post. Paste that
URL into the DU message box.

Voila! You should have it.

18. doing via photobucket may take longer, BUT If you're

posting a picture from an individual's website, you are stealing their bandwidth if you use the properties url directly from their site...(which isn't nice)

I don't feel too guilty if it's a major media outlet typesite, but otherwise I save the pic to my harddrive & upload to http://www.imageshack.us/

Simple and non-offensive. Just right click on it, go to Properties, copy the link and paste it in a reply to me.

Now next time, just remember to put your cursor over the pic, right click, go to Properties, and copy the link. Then, just paste it into the body of your text. Sometimes, they are protected, so try "preview" first to see that it works.

And the most fun is to save your best to a "Favorites" folder. Then, you can REALLY go to town.
