I got my first voter registration card ever today... |
|
I am 33 and I have never Voted. I was raised not to for religious reasons. Even though I left that religion at 17, I could never bring myself to vote, the idea of it really made me nervous, Like the gates of hell would open up and suck me in or something. Crazy I know but I had 17 years of "DON'T VOTE EVER" training.
Anyway, I have always followed politics since Reagon vs Mondale. And I would mentally pick which candidate I wanted to win. When I got married I even told my Husband who to vote for, but I never would.
So now thanks to finally have a candidate that I can really get behind, I am ready to proclaim my support to the world but Voting in Nov for my Candidate!
I can't wait!

3. Hope you've got state photo ID. That's the latest GOP push. And SCOTUS agrees. |
|
Thanks for joining the voting public.

5. What was the premise they used that didn't allow voting? |

8. Funny I had this conversation with my mother just the other day so |
|
I will try to explain the rational.
She said that the bible say, "you are to be in this world but not of this world" and voting is asserting that you are apart of this "system of things". By choosing one side over the other you are aligning you allegiance with a man/ or woman. And you are only suppose to be aligned with God."
My Counter Argument to her. "If you Own a home, car, rent, work, have credit cards, debt of any kind, make purchases using government money, you are apart of the system."
I also said that we are to "seek first the kingdom of God" well if that's the first thing we do, what's the second what's the third? God never stated in his words that we could not vote. In fact the bible says to pay Cesar's things to Caesar. And God's things to God.
I don't quite understand the rational behind it. It's just the rules of her Religion. We agree to disagree
