4. Yup, but it was only $425.00... |
|
They took out $175 for an old VA debt for medications that I thought had been resolved years ago, but apparently not. We spent the rest as fast as possible on drugs and yard sales. :-)

That's the bonus for two adults and two kids.
It was direct deposited, and we socked it into an ING Orange account.
We aren't spending it.

11. I declined the payola. But, I'll surely get to pay the interest for 20+ years!! |
|
What irks me is the fat Rs earning that interest for the next few generations because Bush gave them all a fat tax break.

17. Since they charge daily interest on arrears, I suspect they will |
|
hold out until the very last to apply it to the "damages" account which isn't all that large, but still.... According to the schedule, it could have been directly deposited back to their own account by May 9, but the calculator isn't calculating that fact. What a rip, since they direct WITHDRAW their pound of flesh from outsourced, unemployed families!
Just like payday loans, the fact that withholding is not taken from State unemployment compensation will likely keep us in arrears and is likely, in the interim, to just enlarge their money grab into then next tax year. Guess they're really more into starving us to death than if they get their Stafford Plus loans back or at least the interest they make on the withholding collected from the paychecks of Americans actually WORKING at their optimum pay levels.
Course, if they do actually do kill the lendee, that debt is forgiven POOF...Hardship reduction adjustments are also given for those not quite dead yet...why would they want a mere $50 when they could collect a lot more. GO FIGURE!

18. Actual checks don't start going out till June. In May, Direct deposits only |
|
The schedule is May is for those who direct deposited their tax returns. In June and July, checks will go out for everyone else.
The schedule is based on the last two digits of your social security number.

Nada, zip. I was informed that if you are not getting a refund, but instead had to pay, you have to wait for the rebate and prolong the agony. It seems counterintuitive to me, but that's how the government works, I guess.

24. We got ours via direct deposit & paid bills & bought a couple of things. |
|
Before we got it, I did a search and found out that if you filed online and had the fees deducted from your refund there would be a delay.
If you filed online and paid for the fees separately with a credit/debit card, then it would be by the schedule that is on the IRS website.
If you mailed in your taxes, I believe you get a check mailed to you.

25. Mine was directly deposited into my account last Monday. They |
|
are sending them out in segments based on the last 4 numbers of your SS #. I was lucky, my SS put me in the firsts group to go out. If you check the IRS website, it lists the schedule so you'll know when to look for yours.
