Mcclellan could have made just as much IF NOT MORE by toeing the party line. Just something to think about.

5. Actually, I heard on one of the TV shows today that he has... |

been unemployed since he left the WH. Seems like his loyalty should have been rewarded by now.

http://www.salon.com/politics/war_room/2008/05/29/mcclellan_publisher/"Lisa (Kaufman) laughed. While she wouldn't reveal the exact figure, she narrowed it enough to lay the money-grubbing charges to rest: It was a five-figure advance. Not just under $1 million, but under $100,000." ... thats not much.

And he would have been in BushCo's good graces, leading to a very secure future, monetarily.
Nah, he didn't take the " easy way" at all- far from it.

8. Scotty DID toe the line, and I think he was forced out |

because he no longer had any credibility. He didn't land on a cushy GOP job as far as I can tell, so he probably needed the money. I think it's a combination of need (versus greed) and revenge. If he's sincere, he'll tell his story under oath where it can really count.
(On edit: His advance was less than 100 grand? I rest my case.)
