I think - the "Iran crisis" - is just a bad joke - |
|
Lets get real -
If they were ever or ever became a threat - we really do have the capacity to "blow them back to the dark ages" - we just do.
SO - are they suicidal??
If they are - well, they may have an impact - but it would last a few hours - in which time the signature of the agent would be detected and then if it was from the country - it would be totally destroyed.
Not exactly mutually agreed asured destruction - but akin to it.
It is the truth - and they know it.

3. A more likely scenario is Israel attacking Iran |
|
if the USA doesn't attack Iran because of their nuclear enrichment. Our side will be the aggressor in this war scenario.

5. "So - are they suicidal" |
|
Of course not, but they will respond militarily if they are attacked by either Israel or the USA. That was the point I was making. It's a crisis because of our unwavering support of Israel and Israel's preemptive war doctrine.

But there is a limit to WAR.
Militarily - it has a limt.
I honestly have no thought one way or the other about Israel - I don't - not my country.
But the idea that some little crap country could really threaten the United States - I don't think so.
Are they bent on suicide- it is the question.

6. Yeah, it is pretty close to M.A.D., considering not just the utter destruction of Iran, Israel, |
|
and possibly other countries as well, but the worldwide political, economic and environmental consequences, that would result from a nuclear war.

8. MAD became MAAD - more than a turn of words. |
|
Mutually assured destruction - became mutually agreed assured destrution.
It was the day that nuclear destruction left human hands and became - assured - by machines that would end the thing if or not not we survived - it is a strange turn of events, really.
Today - in such an attack - live or die - people initiating any such attack - will die too.
Mutually agreed assured destrution - we put our faith in machines to do our bidding - literally.
You really think they cared about the environmet - or anything like it??
