Al Franken took a strong pro-choice position in a debate tonight.
Al Franken is the Democratic nominee for US Senate in Minnesota. He debated two other candidates in St. Paul tonight.

Franken said that if a Supreme Court nominee announced that he or she wasn't pro-choice, then he'd vote against confirmation.

He said that privacy is in the Constitution.

The other candidates didn't take a strong pro-choice position. Dean Barkley (Independence Party) said he wouldn't ask the nominee, and Norm Coleman (R) is anti-choice.

If you know anyone in Minnesota who is pro-choice but considering a candidate besides Al Franken, then please share this information.

3. My elderly mother is voting for Coleman because
she doesn't believe the charges against him. Thanks to the Repugs for lying so much about the Dems that people are confused. She also believes what they tell her about Franken. Really sad. My mother is not ignorant and she actually represents the norm for a person in their 80's here.

7. They don't like Palin so I don't know what they will do.
I feel really bad for them as they feel they have no choice although my father might vote Obama. My mother will possibly leave it blank. She was willing to at one time vote for Edwards. That is a big thing for her as a hard core Repub. They are really depressed and have lost faith in our Government. Really sad since my dad suffers health problems from being in the Navy and having the bomb go off and his being poisoned. I just hate that older people have had to endure such crap in this Country the last few years.

6. I'm glad. I hate it when 'our people' take wimpy positions on abortion or gay marriage. And I hope
Al Franken WINS!
