Today I will be canvassing for Obama, but some of my fellow volunteers suggested that tomorrow instead of canvassing I should stand outside the biggest poll location in my area wearing my Sarah Palin costume from Halloween (at the statutorily mandated distance of course) and chat up undecided voters on their way to vote. I'm thinking of doing that and maybe carrying a sign.

My questions to you:
1. Should I do it? Do you think that doing so would be as effective or more effective than canvassing?
and
2. What should the sign say? If I do this then I would like the sign to be positive and upbeat, something that will be amusing to Obama supporters and undecideds, but not offensive to McCain voters as I do not want to provoke any altercations. I'm thinking something along the lines of
Changed my mind: vote Obama! but I welcome your suggestions.
PS In an effort to be non-confrontational I will remove the "Politics for Dummies" book and the price tags on the clothing from the ensemble. I might keep the tiara though.
