If McCain wins...or horrible stupid celebrations that get out of hand making us look like fools.. what do yall think? will this happen?

10. Riot fears come from racist and classist stories
Given any kind of crisis, the idea is that "people" will riot. Which people? The people who are less intelligent and less cultured than you and me. The idea comes from racist and classist "fantasies" in fiction, especially sci-fi. It's always the lower classes, the lumpen-proletariat, and the Bad People. The theme now appears in most apocalyptic fiction.

The reality is that when crises occur, people hide and get depressed. THAT is what keeps people alive. Rioting is almost always sporadic, involves mainly young men, and is reported with rapt attention.
