admirable, but perhaps naive?

In a better world, within a much less corrupt system, the spirit of cooperation and the reaching across the aisle, in an act of bi-partisanship is a worthy, noble and admirable gesture, especially if it is a sincere overture.

BUT WE'RE TALKING ABOUT THE GOP HERE, PEOPLE!!!!!

McCain is not an honorable man. He ran a scorched earth campaign that many thought ventured into hate crime territory. I cannot think of one honorable republican leader who would be willing to work with the democrats. As we have witnessed time and again, the republicans will run roughshod over you when they can, and will do anything to torpedo legislation when they can't steamroll you.

Prediction: A lot of backstabbing and more gridlock, if this bi-partisan bs that Obama talks about is genuine.
