I think President Obama could use a show of public support.

3. I'd really like to.
Money is going to be an issue, though.

4. I was thinking you could get together, rent a bus, carpool, hitchhike, something.
Do it on the cheap. A lot of people have issues, jobs, kids, so us slackers need to pick up the slack on this.

8. Yeah, I was thinking that.
And I have a friend down there, so that takes care of shelter. But ideally I'd like to have a stable job by then, which throws another wrench into the works. But yes. This is too important to miss.

Stand around in front of the White House or Congress, stuff like that. If there were a couple million of you, of course it would be noticeable. :-)

As far as the ceremonies, I expect that would require invites, etc.

7. We booked a room last Spring, but had so many unexpected medical bills in the late
spring through early Fall that we decided to cancel. :-(

9. Well, I'm just raising the issue.
Don't want to have to run around in a panic later, so better to think about it now. I know things are tough out there.

10. I agree it's smart to make arrangements ahead of time.
I saw a thread earlier suggesting people look at booking rooms in VA or MD and take the train into DC. My guess is that any rooms left in DC will be super expensive. Good luck! :-)

12. Thinking about it... would definitely be staying cheap in VA or MD.
Went to a DC rally years ago. taking the bus in from VA wasn't bad at all.
