DU "lets get-along" Sing-Along .... Ding Dong the Bush is Gone!
Edited on Fri Nov-07-08 11:57 AM by TWiley
Ding Dong the Bush is gone
Which old Bush?
The Evil Bush
Ding Dong the evil Bush is gone !

<whistles enthusiastically>

I put a flag in my yard today. I had not flown a flag in almost 8 years; ever since bush stole the 2000 election. It felt pretty good to be patriotic again. With the election of Obama, hopefully now we can escape our Republi-crap heritage of cruel slavery and abuse of all non-white and non-male creatures.

Maybe it is time for all us good Americans to reclaim patriotism, tolerance, and to demonstrate that "family values" is not a mutually exclusive position with homosexual rights, and reproductive rights. Furthermore, may we demonstrate that Religion does not have to be superstitious, mindless, and stupid expressions of bigotry and hate. Peace is not incompatable with patriotism, and the difference between "supporting troops" and supporting a madmans religious war for mineral wealth. Let us draw the line between the rights of the capitalists, and the rights of every other living creature on this planet.

This is our chance to reclaim all of the ideals that have been hijacked from us. Let us all do this with style. The world depends on us.

Just to be obnoxious, I may even put one of those window flags on my car.

1. I, too, have not

flown a flag, nor have I been able to stand during the singing of the national anthem or the recitation of the pledge since that day.

I would just sit there on the verge of tears because I would not accept the hypocrisy of what was happening in the country.

Everything I believed in was voided by the pseudo-fascists of the bush regime.

My flag is out, dusty and wrinkled, but it is flying proudly.

edited for spelling

5. I simply tossed my flag in the trash after Kerry conceded Oho in 2004.
I have to go buy a new one.

3. Good idea. Just another part of taking our country back - taking its symbols back, too.

I like it.
