This veteran wants to thank YOU on this Veteran's Day
That's right. 8 years USAF. I want to thank all the DUers who decided to shift it into high gear after the 2004 election. You could have thrown your hands in the air and given up, but instead you chose to work even harder. You did your part in getting us a majority in congress just two years later! That was the beginning of the end for modern evangelical-based conservatism. Following the 2006 mid-terms, I don't think you took even one day off. It quickly became presidential campaign season. Regardless of your candidate (started as Edwards for me) you did everything you could do to promote DEMOCRATIC values. We've all been richly rewarded as a result of YOUR efforts, and I can only offer you my thanks.

Happy Veteran's Day

2. Salute
:patriot:

Thank you for serving to make sure we have the right to have a place like this to speak out and reach out. Then a double thank-you for YOUR hard work that made this election possible, as well as the millions of others who joined in what was the most amazing and exciting campaign of my lifetime.

No one person deserves the credit, yet we should all feel like we're a part of taking our country back and now in a solid position to bring on a better day...but it's gonna take a lot of work. There are still more battles to fight, more elections to win and always remaining vigilant to the on-going attacks from the right to try to destroy all the good things being done.

Here's saluting YOU...take a bow, you deserve it.

Happy Veterans Day. May this be the last for a long time where we have a large number on active duty and that this administration works to take care of those who have served and have been screwed over by the boooosh regime.

Cheers...

:toast:

3. back at you!!!!
my dad was in the air force, he was a pug(:(:() i've been a dem all my life but just during this race really discovered what the dems were all about. i was amazed at how much a good grasp of history would have empowered me in years past.the us needs our ideals, compassion, our love of fellow man. we have a respect for diversity that would help the pugs if they could just "get there". but all that aside we wouldn't be able to do anything without the sacrifices of our soldiers, sailors, & airmen! it is a good day for america!!!! we now have a fighting chance to save our country!!!! :toast: :hi: :headbang: :woohoo: :woohoo: :patriot: :patriot: :patriot:

6. This is what a soldier fights for. We will take back our rights for
an administration that has insulted out soldiers. Poor health care, no body armor and causing young men and women to die for corporate greed is not what this country does. Bush, Cheney and Rumsfeld should be in jail for what they have done to the people in our military.

9. Happy Veteran's Day!!
I'm not a vet but have worked and unfortunately am still working my heart out for Ret. Lt. Col. Charlie Brown so he can be my Congressman. Our race is not over. I am hoping to give President (elect) Obama one more Democratic Vet. to grace his Congress and our country.

Thank you for your service and this very nice post! I hope you enjoy your day!
