Why haven't the Republican Party critics addressed..... |
|
Edited on Fri Nov-21-08 01:12 PM by Jade Fox
the GOP lack of adherence to the laws of this land, from the Constitution on down?
Since the 2008 election we have heard from quite a few Republicans (and of course, Democrats) as to what is wrong with the GOP that is causing the Party's downward slide, mostly the Christian Right influence, lack of diversity and appeal to youth.
But no one is addressing the 21st century GOP's blatant criminal nature. The sitting Vice President and former Attorney General are under indictment, for crying out loud! The Bush Administration continues to regularly break laws, ignore subpoenas, and wink at those subverting legality to achieve Bushco ends. Just yesterday Roger Stone was bemoaning the dirty tricks which resulted in the 2000 Bush election, yet certainly some the actions he readily admits to (and is still doing) broke laws.
The Republican Party has become the party of law-breaking. THAT is what they need to change about themselves.
No more bitching and moaning about the Christian Right bringing you down until you re-commit to respecting the law, Pubbies!

3. I'm thinking the RICO statutes could be used |
|
Racketeering, corrupt organization, it's all there. What will we tell our children if we don't hold law-breakers accountable? Where are all the tut-tutting schoolmarms who were thirsting for Bill Clinton's chitlins?

to that District Attorney at the hearing yesterday, he was a no show, the last I heard? If the corporate media reported on Cheney's indictment, I missed it.
