The Obama's have chosen this Quaker school in NW DC for the girls.
I'm not surprised at all.
And really, public school really was out of the question, even if the DC schools were the best in the world.

3. Is that where I heard it? |

I'm now imagining the tradition of reunions of Sidwell presidential daughters.

5. Well if the Obama girls turn out even half as wonderful as Chelsea, |
|
and I have no doubt they won't, then good for them. How lucky these children are to be attending such a wonderful school... Pics earlier in the day of Chelsea's graduation from there, really nice.

6. They deal with the situation best |

that's where Chelsea went and she turned out ok. A friend of mine coaches girl's basketball and her team plays Sidwell Friends sometimes. She thinks the oldest girl is getting tall enough to play in a few years. She'll love this news.

The security there will be excellent. The SS is experienced with the location.
Not to mention that, academically, it's top of the line. Coming from the U of C Lab School, where the girls go now, they'll be right in their element.
Excellent choice.
There was no way those girls were going to DC schools. Even if the security issues weren't primary - which I think they are - there isn't one school in the system that's worth a bucket of warm spit (with apologies to John Nance Garner).

9. Whatever school the first daughters attends has to be secure. |
|
But, there has to be something special about this one.
