Who's With Me? THE BYE BYE BUSH BASH!
Edited on Sat Nov-22-08 03:18 PM by BlueButGlad2
It just occurred to me that Monday January 19th is a holiday (how wonderfully appropriate, it is Martin Luther King Day) and then Tuesday the 20th is Inauguration Day.

What better excuse for a huge 4 day extra-long weekend coast-to-coast party (OK, and Hawaii too - maybe not Alaska). Celebrate the end of our 'long national nightmare', and the start of the Obama administration. Really, that weekend should be something special.

If anyone has any ideas on how to celebrate, please post them. Thanks. Let's show the world how happy we are!

IF YOU AGREE, RECOMMEND THIS POST!

4. Pretzels - Excellent idea - and very appropriate
A clever reference to Bush's pretzel induced fainting incident. I believe that occured on a Sunday, while he was watching a football game, so Sunday's events MUST INCLUDE PRETZELS

13. Apparently, Bush is the only person in history to fall off a Segway
Well, that may not be true, but they're supposed to be really stable -- at least they are if your brain hasn't been trashed by too much coke and booze.

12. Coast to coast! Try "world wide".
The entire planet has been holding its breath for eight long years, knowing that in January 2009 the awful beast that is the bush administration will finally at long last be gone! The collective sigh of relief at the chimp's departure may alter the orbit of the earth.

16. Start a weblog
with Google Blogger or Wordpress (way easy). Invite people to plan local events and post them on your site. Trade links with leftie sites. Sell B4 T-Shirts to support the site. Ask people to spread the word on Facebook and MySpace. Make a You Tube video inviting everyone to the party. A lot of us here at DU would be happy to help out and attend events.

And thanks for coining the short-hand B4 for the Bye Bye Bush Bash.
