I haven't been on much, have had a splint on my typing hand and lost my internet access, so I've missed a lot, even though I was just mainly reading the news of the day... But I got the last splint off my hand and my friend let me use his laptop this evening, just in time to see your very special post... 40. Well, it's only the right hand, but that's the one that I use.

I'm a one handed typist. Several years ago I fell in the winter and broke my arm, but it was the left one. I was told that I could be out of work for six weeks which made my boss turn pale, since there were only two of us in my department. But I didn't take any time off at all, since I use my right hand to type, never learned the proper way, but I got pretty fast after more than 15 years and I rarely make typos... :D

But the Advil's a good idea. The doctor gave me meds, but I'm running low. They also recommended plastic surgery, but I'm putting that off. It still hurts enough that I am just not up to facing another doctor. I've also driven short distances, impossible when I had a "splint" that ran from my fingers to my elbow, but it gets old really fast, asking for rides, even when people offer. I still use my left hand for everything but steering, but haven't hit anything yet...;)

And thank you for the compliment, my friend. I'm at a low point in my life and have missed DU both for the news and the camaraderie. I especially missed DU and the company I was used to during this historic election. We've waited for this for so long...:-(

BTW, I noticed that you changed your avatar. A good choice, IMHO. Check out my sig quote, the one I've had since I first joined DU...:D

Congrats again and have a good week. The heat suddenly decided to go out in my car, terrible timing, so I need to find another garage or somebody who knows something. I feel like Roseanne Roseannadanna...:-(
