My health is ok, and yet I know so many who are in pain. I am thankful that I work for a health non-profit that will tend to folks even if they cannot pay. We helped two ladies today who were in these dire straits, and the look of happiness on their faces was reward enough.

4. I'm thankful for many things... |

1. President Barack Hussein Obama (what a beeeeeautiful name!) 2. My department at work was unscathed during mass layoffs last week. The girl I replaced was laid off. :( 3. I make a lot of money. Most people would actually laugh at me if I showed them what I made, but I make enough money so that I can pay my bills and give to good causes. I love giving money away. I was once so poor I had to sell my plasma in order to provide for my daughter. So many wonderful people have helped me out for so many years that it is a precious gift to be able to even begin paying it forward to others. 4. Too numerous to name. I am thankful everyday.

9. I'm thankful my oldest sister is still here. |

In February she had surgery to repair a dissected aorta. She was hospitalized for months (lots of post-op infections and complications)and it was touch and go for a long time. In May, she was transferred to a rehab facility. She finally came home on Monday!

No matter what happens in my life and no matter what I succeed or fail at in my own personal agenda, over the next 20-30 years the world will see amazing advances in science and medicine that'll make life far easier, safer and more enjoyable for so many people. If we get lab grown meat we can also look forward to a life that is far less miserable for animals as well.

14. That I have someone to love and that she loves me. |
|
She is very ill and on many days is not with me very much mentally. But on some days she can still say "I love you," or put her hand in mine, or say, "thank you for taking care of me." we have been married over fifty years and she has made my life wonderful. Tomorrow I will get her up, dress her, give her her meds, and feed her. We will watch a parade and a football game on television. I will make our Thanksgiving dinner from all her recipes. And I will be very thankful that I have someone to love and that she loves me.
