How much do astronomical health insurance premiums have to do with businesses struggling? |
|
Both big business and small busineses?
I suspect it's one of the major problems that must be solved before our economy can recover. And it must be one reason why it's cheaper to move jobs overseas.
Eventually we will have to invest our tax dollars in the U.S.A.'s #1 resource: our own collective health and medical care.

Still, we cannot compete for goods and services with other countries when those other countries have socialized medicine. Period.

because so much of our tax dollars go to health care for teachers - and other govt workers - instead of to infrastructure and instruction material.

I'm guessing it hovers at about $500 billion a year, but that is a guess as to the share businesses put into healthcare. http://www.nybooks.com/articles/18802

was to provide complete coverage for all State residents, business would flock to that state.
Of course, so too would the Federal hit men, most likely.
