RE: UAW....Where are other unions to support the UAW right now? |
I remember when I was a child great strikes and shows of solidarity by other unions when workers were in trouble. Right now, I hear silence. One hand clapping in the forest. Where is the unity among workers?

2. I use to be a member of AFLCIO Local 1470 . It died in 1997 when |
the owner filed bankruptcy and closed down the plant. It was still a profitable company, but an Atlanta, Georgia right-wing business man bought us out.

5. First I support the workers at the Big 3. But where |
were they when us Steelworkers took concessions time and time again. Why didn't they protest using illegally imported steel on their cars? Where were they in 1998-2000 when the industry fought tariffs on illegally imported steel? Did they support the Big 3 management in that one? From what I remember they weren't down in Washington supporting us or even stating any support for us. To tell the truth the only reason I support them is the damage it is going to cause us and other supporting industry workers. Where were all the Unions when that SOB Reagan fired the air traffic controllers?

6. Well, now is not the time to get revenge by no action. |
It's time for all the unions to get together, preferably on the steps of the US Capitol, winter weather or not, holiday or not, and for other non-unionized workers to join them too.
