What is the difference between Bush and Blagojevich
Some one needs to tell me

Blagojevich tried to sell a senate seat to the "Highest Bidder"

Bush made one of his best Campaign Contribution organisers the Head of FEMA

1. Apparently, even Bush wasn't stupid enough to offer the seat for cash
while he knew he was under Federal investigation.

4. Browne got a Federal Appointment for raising money for Bush

What is the difference I need to know

Browne got the Appointment for "Raising Cash". Calling it a "Campaign Contribution" does not negate the fact Browne had ZERO Political or Emergency Preparedness experience

3. As a Chicagoan I have to say I have always thought there was a similarity.
blago did actually work to get all of the kids in the state public aid for medical insurance. Before he tried to steal money from Children's Memorial Hospital, that is.

6. "Pay for Play" any way you look at it
Bush wasn't caught on tape is the only difference

5. What has Blago done but talk trash?
Did the hospital get their funding? Did the editor at the newspaper get fired? Did he sell the Senate seat? I think the standard phrase in public is..."Can I count on your support?" Blago would be a great lesson in how government and industry works, how contracts are awarded, how funding is allotted, how bills are passed, how zoning laws get approved, building permits are granted..everything...from the town, to the state, to the federal.
