I wonder if MSNBC realizes that people watch Morning Joe DESPITE Scarborough |
|
He is so bombastic and loud and boring. The show is always better when he is not on. I wish they would give the show to Barnicle and keep Willie Geist who is amusing. Mika is pretty much useless, but not as off-putting as Scarborough.
They do have some good guests usually. This morning they had Bill Press and Howard Dean.

They do have good guests, so it sucks that the panel of hosts is always horrible...I really dislike all of the panel most of the time, but Joe and Mika annoy me the most. I kept turning to it this morning hoping I would catch the guest I wanted to see, only to see Joe pissing about the media and Obama again. I bet the ratings would be higher if they ditched Joe and Mika, I really doubt people are tuning in because of them.

4. Scar is a conceited, snarky, know-it-all bastard. |
|
I always watch the show as I'm getting ready to go to work in the morning. I too, watch for the guests they book but I'm always especially pleased when Scar is absent. Today, his agenda is to loudly trash all things Obama. I have written many times urging the producers to dump Scarborough. Damn...they never read my e-mails on the air!

8. One could easily say the same about Olberman (insignificant in the grand scheme) |

In the grand scheme of things I bet millions of more people will be watching the Muppets Christmas special tonight vs. Olberman.
Obviously, MSNBC doesn't expect either Morning Joe or Olberman to compete against commerical programming. It does appear that MSNBC is more than happy with how MJ competes against his cable news competition otherwise he probably would have been dumped by now. I haven't seen any retooling of the show since I started watching about a year ago so again, the powers that be must be happy with the performance.
Hell, every angry e-mail they get means someone is watching long enough to get pissed. Based on the response Morning Joe gets here on DU I bet MSNBC is ecstatic with the viewer response.

7. Not just you. Mika comes off to me a first-class phony. |

She can't realistically fake sincerity at any level.
