Hope & Change mean nothing.
They are campaign buzzwords drawn to elicit emotional responses in voters. This time around they were particularly effective because so many despise the Bush administration and their policies.

1. Yep. And when people asked, "What kind of change is he talking about? What exactly is going
to change?" there was a lot of "Let's just elect him! Unicorn farts smell so good!"

Don't get me wrong, I support him. But I tried and try to keep from projecting my ideals and who I think he should be onto him, and I get the feeling a lot of other people didn't.

3. I thrive on hope...
every day of my life. And "Change"? Change is the only thing in my life that is certain..although quite often it is not the change I seek. Throwing a bone to the right wing fundamentalists? I think he should have chosen a no-name freak. That way those Americans would have been represented without all the hoopla.

4. Based on what?
A 5 minute prayer at an event?

You would think that Hitler was attending. I understand the outrage over Warren but it does not necessarily mean change will not happen.
