Can you imagine if we were looking at McCain and Moose Killer taking over in a couple of weeks? |

I start hyperventilating just thinking about it.

7. We'd be "treated" to endless stories of Palin's family. The V.P. |

would overshadow McCain because her family is such National Enquirer fodder. Thankfully, we won't have to deal with that nightmare.

all over the news talking of how we need to stand behind Israel at all costs, with a glint of Armageddon in her eye. 20% of Grampy's body would be cover with sharpie marker as he is getting ready to make everyone famous going back to 1980. McCain would be holding joint meetings with Bush and they would both be saying how the fundamentals of our economy are resilient.

when I was here last, I met a neighbor of my daughter's who told me the following: McCain would be elected President but only serve one term...then, Palin would run for Pres against Hillary Clinton...Palin would be elected and serve two terms, giving the Repubs 12 years in office. Hee Hee. When I went to his house last week for a dinner, I walked in and said to him, "Hey Matt, High Five huh? How about that election??" It was a delicious moment. When he recovered, he told me that he had hoped to have his Obama commemorative plate on display for me, but it was back-ordered. His snarkiness didn't go over too well. He avoided me the rest of the evening.

is from the Atlanta area--mostly living in Gainesville and White, GA now--and they're all bummed that McCain/Palin didn't win.

My doctors office is there so I had to drive from Atlanta to Marietta a few times this summer and it was sickening how many McCain signs there were. Thank God I live in Atlanta.

Life is moving too fast these days and thankfully a majority of the American electorate made the right choice...the only logical choice.
I must admit my guilty pleasure of watching how badly that campaign was run. Given the chance to gaffe, error or overplay, Camp Gramps never failed to disappoint. If there's any sadness, it's that it took 8 years for enough people to see through the GOOP bullshit to call them on it as well as their corporate media enablers. In many ways that campaign was the gift that kept giving...and for a brief moment around here, brought people together in both their disgust and amusement at the latest antics.
Happy New Year...
