6. Ben Franklin Would Clearly Embrace Universal Health Care

Every other industrialized country has universal health care in some form. Every other industrialized country has health care outcomes as good as ours, and generally better than ours. Every other industrialized country spends far less for health care than we do. Looking at the evidence, one can only conclude that universal health care works better and costs less, while covering all residents.

Dr. Franklin was ever the practical man, and he had no issue with "socialized" services: he was instrumental in founding public libraries and the US postal service. Thus, it seems clear that Dr. Franklin would support the option that has been demonstrated to cost less and work better - how could he do otherwise?
