isnt this so exciting.. ever since the war began i've been so glued to the computer readin RR news... i agree with you there that we are so outta here shortly. I dont think the word soon is plausible anymore, but shortly does so fit into whats happening right now.. ground invasion...wow! rapture here we come!

Tomorrow is Sunday. Would it not be wonderful to be sitting in church one moment, and then the next to be raptured with the rest of the congregation?

I am so glad we are all here to watch it together.
4EverHis--yippeee!!

Been praying throughout the day. Additionally, as I see video of Israeli soldiers, I pray that at least some if not all will come to repentence and realize that Jesus is their Messiah--before they step firmly into harm's way.

May we remember to always love each other.

I read one post about the killing being horrible.
There are pages of posts like this.

1. A disapointment it will be when they walk out after services to find they are the only ones left.
Something tells me Gods yardstick of righteousness is different from theirs.

5. My fantasy with these clowns
is to fill about 50 assorted sex dolls with helium and release them as they come out of church. They'll be jumping up and screaming and nothing will happen to them.

21. OMG....
I'd contribute to the sex doll and helium fund to make that happen.

Better yet, find a church adjacent to an adult book store and release the balloons from behind the book store.

27. Hmmm, that sounds distinctly achievable....
I'll put it on my list of 'foolish but entertaining things to do after I'm rich', since I don't have a few thousand to throw at a practical joke right now. But it's so amusing that it makes a good motivator!

33. That would be absolutely hilarious. Throw Ashton Kutcher in...
and that would make for a four-star episode of Punk'd.

I'm sure the reason they don't do it is because some of these morons would pull out .38s and suicide themselves and their families when they see they're not ascending.

19. They already are.
They're what we would call miserable excuses for human beings.
How horrible it would be to hate this life so much that the only thing that makes you happy is the thought of its end.

7. they have been doing that for years and years
everytime there is conflict in the ME, the rapture people get all excited. of course, they are sitting in living rooms eating potato chips and dip in warm homes whilst children in the ME are having their legs blown off. their tune would change pretty quickly if a bomb went off next to the Lazyboy they are sitting in as they type.
Falwell, Robertson, all the crazies eat this shit up.
of course, all the Jews are damned nonetheless unless they acceptthelordjesuschristastheirpersonalsaviour.
they think if the Temple on the Mount is blown up, then Armegeddon begins, thats their fantasy.
thats also what the preachers tell them.
they salivate, then get disappointed when they arent raptured.

8. If my rapture understanding is up to par, they are missing a step.
The Third Temple has to built on the Temple Mount where the
Al Aqsa Mosque presently sits. They aren't going anywhere yet,
much to my dismay.

10. Even if the world is left a smoldering ruin, they will still believe in the prophecies
This is what is so damned disturbing: No matter the outcome, they will always cling to their belief that the "Rapture" is just around the corner. Repeatedly since Year 0 believers have claimed that the Rapture was imminent, only to be proven wrong. But instead of admitting that their prophecies were wrong, they simply tweaked their beliefs to reboot the prophecy again and again over the past 2,000 years.

Regardless of what happens or doesn't happen in Israel, we will always have these Koolaid drinkers among us.

15. Ultimately, the US backing of Israel is religious.
On some metaphysical level it seems they can do no wrong. I don't even know if people realize how irrational it is to treat Israel so differently than any other nation.

These fundies are totally out of touch with the real message of Christianity... as well as being out of touch with reality. God does not delight in the slaughter of innocents.

And I doubt Israeli soldiers are thinking about converstion to Jesus on the front lines.

20. Love each other applies only
to the small circle of likeminded people they surround themselves with. They are incapable of feeling love for a fellow human being who is suffering, unless it contributes to their selfish view of the world.

If there is such a thing as the Rapture, I suspect some people are going to be mighty surprised to realize God left them behind.

for some organization. Essentially, it was calling on Christians to send money for Israel to stop these "terrorists". Before I could recover from my absolutely shock, my husband started berating the TV. OOh, I was pissed.

30. The last time Israel bombed Lebanon
one of the "ladies" over there posted that she was so happy she was going to see Jesus that she went & got her hair & nails done! Seriously! People were dying & being blown to bits & this bitch was celebrating by getting a perm & a mani-pedi!! :grr:

That thread went on for a long time before whoever moderates that board deleted it. Too many folks (like those of us at DU) were linking to it & exposing those nuts for what they are, I guess.
