The Republic Party is NOT dead. You know that story about Pat Brown |
|
and President Kennedy talking after Brown beat Nixon in the Governor's race in 1962? Kennedy called Brown to congratulate him and said, "Well, Pat, I killed him and you buried him". Brown reportedly responded by saying, "Yeah, but nobody's pounded a stake in that bastard's heart".
That's how I feel about the Republics. No stake. Not dead.

book "Public Justice, Private Mercy: A Governor's Education on Death Row," a book that changed my opinion about the Death Penalty. He seems like someone I would have admired enormously.
His son, Jerry, is someone I admire enormously.
You are right. This shit will never end. We just have to find some way to circumvent it.
I am clueless but open to suggestions.
