The GOP couldn't have picked a worse time to announce an attempt to block financial reform |
|
Goldman fraud charges vs. objections to reform
The only ways this end is with some of the so-called GOP "moderates" insisting they were misunderstood on signing the letter and didn't mean they would fillibuster, or they hand democrats THE issue going into the midterms.
Now, all the democrats need to do is not waffle and make the GOP either filibuster or get out of the way. Please, Reid, do not lose your newly developed spine now.

Considering the content of the speakers who spoke at the Teabagger Rally out in my little county-seat town last week, 99% of which was anti-big-bank, this will not be lost on their supporters.
The repukes are on the cusp of auguring in hard.

3. You know, though....I think 50% or so of this country is so brain--washed |
|
and brain-dead that they are for the R's or conservative positions no matter what. I mean I really believe the people who are currently teabaggers or R's would support the right-wing agenda even if it included killing all firstborns and using the remainder of us as slave labor.

5. I think they're going to follow the teabaggers off the cliff on this one |
|
They are so wrapped up in opposing anything and everything Obama supports that they are going to walk in lock step on this right the fuck off the cliff.

12. You are used to the old GOP |
|
strictly regulated in message and repeating any nonsense until they actually believe it
they have no idea what to do with or about the tea baggers while still dealing with their funders (BTW we have funders too)
They are clearly flinging poo to see what sticks.
