We have JD mower in this category and have replaced two out of three of the mower deck blade spindles and the third one is on the way out, I'll be surprised if it makes it through the summer without having to be replaced. All the bolts are frozen on all the spindles so you have to cut the bolt heads off with a grinder to remove them, it's a difficult and unpleasant process.
The original spindles have no grease fitting to lube the bearings but the replacement ones do..
