McDonald's pulls 'Shrek' glasses due to potential health hazard.
I'll bet a Happy Meal that the drinking glasses were made in China.

The fact that officials are playing dumb over the country of origin of these glasses makes me believe they don't want another wave of bad publicity regarding our wonderful trade relations with China.

1. If it says "Made in China," I usually assume it means "this is a health hazard."

"The CPSC said designs on the glasses, made by ARC International in Millville, New Jersey, contain cadmium and "long-term exposure ... can cause adverse health effects." Cadmium is a known carcinogen that research shows also can cause bone softening and severe kidney problems."

6. Just saw that. The paint is the problem and no one has said where the paint came from yet.

2. If the glasses were not made in China,
They would say where they were made.

$2/glass? Probably paid $.29/ea.
