Stop government subsidies to Big Oil. Massive government subsidies=cheap gas.
Get government out of the business of subsidizing super wealthy robber barons. Oil Execs.

These massive subsidies keep gasoline cheap at the pump and are feeding our planet-killing addiction to gasoline and diesel fuel.

been listening to the BS about energy dependence, significantly higher mileage, etc. and etc. for decades and decades... always the same. I bet in a couple of years the BP oil spill is forgotten and BP will be doing just fine... and if the R's are back in they will start to dismantle what might have changed... Money talks, controls power and bribes congress as we all know.

4. Yeah the subsidies have hidden true cost.
We are still paying it (indirectly via taxation) however since people don't see it at the pump it doesn't affect choices.

Guy buying Hummer over a Prius is basing his decision on his "personal" cost at the pump not the total lifecycle cost.
