The Arizona RepublicJoe Yanez, a real estate broker from Orange County, Calif., said he senses something strange in the looks he gets after crossing the Arizona-California line.
Yanez is of Mexican descent, and he said he hasn't felt singled out for his skin color since he was a kid.

"I was born in this county (and) I speak good English," he said. "So I have nothing to fear. As soon as I got off the bus, and we stopped at the first place . . . I could almost feel a hostility.
"I feel like there's something wrong here. I can't exactly put my finger on it, but I know that if it's me, then it's a lot of other people (who feel the same unease)."Read more:
