way our town is dying that's basically the only place to shop now at days.
Anyways we see this clinic and my wife (who doesn't have insurance now.) wanted to check out the prices.
Flu shots are like $24 dollars. TB test $48 dollars...
What I found interesting was that on the other side of the menu style board that all this prices are listed on is a column listings ILLNESS...
Now this doesn't say Flu....$59
Sinus infection ....$59
cold....$59.
No it says.
cough $59 sneezing $59 stuffy nose $59 Diarrhea $59 sore throat $59
so if you are sick with a sore throat, cough and stuffy nose (in other words a common cold) it cost you basically $180 dollars...

seem to offer a cure for the illnesses listed? Cough, sneezing, stuffy nose, and sore throat are most of the time very mild things that can be treated with over the counter medications which don't cost all that much. Yes, I realize sometimes they are symptoms of more serious things, but it's not clear to me (but hopefully it is at that WalMart) just how those symptoms are to be treated at their clinic.

3. Better that the snifflers go to Walmart than to the Emergency |
|
Room. Way too many people run to the doctor for self-limiting minor things they've had a dozen times before.

2. I would find it difficult to trust WalMart even if they were doing it for free. |

4. Think it depends on the location. I go to the Wal-Mart pharmacy here in Yuma and find them to be |
|
A-1 as far as service and price is concerned. They have gone overboard for me. My DIL goes to CVS and does nothing but complain about their service, etc. She is switching to WalMart.

6. I know many medicare recipients who go to Wal-Mart for |
|
their prescriptions. I believe they have $4.00 prescriptions for most things. I chewed out one of my friends for doing this, because he is a good progressive who hates Wal-mart in general. He is a retired railroader and a strong union man. He told me that he had to do this because even though his retirement plan is good, the meds are going to bankrupt him. I can sympathize. My husband can't retire yet because of my medical condition. I am not yet medicare eligible, and we need his insurance.

5. What ever happened to the days of "Dr. Visit" X number of |
