Over the last few days we have seen the direct evidence of how successful was the bush presidency |

He couldn't get permanent tax cuts, so he made them temporary. He knew that would be enough and that no one would be able to easily overturn them.
Now the fact is that george bush himself isn't smart enough to have engineered this. But it is crystal clear that he had handlers who were more than capable of it.
Democrats never seem to be able to pull off plots like that.

The Clinton Administration may have been further right than I would have liked but they were fiscally responsible. We have not seen any such responsibility since then though.. Remember the last two years of the Clinton Administration we had Budget Surpluses and were actually paying down our National Debt. I doubt I will ever live long enough to see anything similar again.

Hate to say it, but the last two years of Clinton were a Republican Congress, led by Newt Gingrich (who was widely hated for cutting .gov spending down).
I wonder if we'll see a repeat of this from the new Repub. Congress this year- now that they've got a Dem Prez again.
