Why do we keep blaming the repubs when we still |
|
have the Senate? We should be hitting the blue dogs hard to vote with the Dems...they need Dems to get re-elected as well as the right leaning indies in their districts...so why do they insist on voting with the opposition party? Am I missing something or are they just not too bright? I know Blanche learned the wrong lesson and thinks that it was the Dems challenge that lost her seat..but it was the Dems in her district staying home and refusing to vote for her...Can't Harry come up with something to threaten them with? They are not going to be re-elected in their districts next time anyway so why don't they just do the right thing?

1. All those times we were told, well he's a blue dog but better |
|
than a republican and we voted for that blue dog? Well I think we fucked ourselves. A blue dog ain't nothing more than a fucking republican who hasn't lost his soul completely. The lesson I learned this last election, I don't give a fuck if he has a magic D after his name, if he don't walk the walk I'm not voting for him.

3. I'm with you on that one |
|
I'm not falling for the fear tactics anymore either: "If you don't vote for 'BlueDog' the the scary republican will win." Makes no difference, they vote the same way.

"...they need Dems to get re-elected as well as the right leaning indies in their districts"
The Dems in these districts are NOT the liberal types, so 'hitting the blue dogs hard' so that they will vote with liberals instead of their constituents, doesn't really work that well. IF we wanted to be represented by a liberal, we would elect one.
They keep blaming the repubs because that is easier than admitting that most Democrats do NOT agree with their policy in lockstep.
