On CNN now: A conservative talk show host whines about hate crimes |
|
The story is as follows: A group of black people (three men, one woman) raped and murdered a white couple. The conservative, who would normally scoff at the very idea of labeling a crime a "hate crime", was whining about how this crime was so clearly a hate crime and ought to be treated as such.
I am sick of the lack of cognitive dissonance that seems to be characteristic of being a conservative. What is wrong with these people's brains?

1. When they oppose something, they never think it will effect or |

impact them....idiots...they lack common sense....they put party and party beliefs before their own families.
They are in frenzy now...they know the end is near for their bullshit.
As a black American if these criminals committed the crime because the victims were white....then prosecute them under the hate crime law.

2. Missed it. Who was it? |

BTW, I'm not sure what you mean by conservatives' lack of cognitive dissonance...

http://changingminds.org/explanations/theories/cognitive_dissonance.htm This is the feeling of uncomfortable tension which comes from holding two conflicting thoughts in the mind at the same time. ....Conservatives appear to have no problem contradicting themselves.

I must have been concentrating more on the dissonance than on the cognitive.
Mind you, I've never had all that much trouble holding two conflicting ideas in my mind at once. I'm not all that black and white, and ambivalence is normal for me.
