She has Brent Budowsky on.
When I tuned in, Randi was saying how she thought the media has been horrible to Edwards. BB said the thought the gravest injustice was done to Joe Biden, went on to list his qualifications, etc.
Randi chimed in in agreement -- she LOVES Biden. She said she didn't think JB liked her personally, and she really didn't like him personally, but she'd vote for him all day long.
The the discussion turned to "the ticket". Randi thinks Clinton/Obama would be unbeatable. BB said the problem with Clinton is her high unfavorable rating - which is why the R's are hoping for her. Half the country dislikes her.
He said for an Obama ticket, he suggested Sam Nunn as VP. He's got all the experience in all the areas needed, and Obama's gonna need help. He also suggested maybe Hagel for SOD, and Bloomberg for Sec of Treasury -- kind of the Unity ticket but not.
They both agreed that Biden should be SOS.

I'm afraid Obama would be a disaster, then be out in 4, and Joe would have given his career away for that. Too risky.

2. Randi is the only progressive talk show host |

that I've heard speak favorably and often about Biden. I like the fact that she doesn't particularly like him personally, but would "vote for him all day long". She knows he would be good for the country.

I think that any smart politician should avoid certain positions in a Clinton administration like the plague. And that includes VP, definitely State and Defense, not sure what else. I do not care what they claim, it would be a co-presidency with very strange and possibly paralyzing power struggles between the two Clintons. I pity the guy that would be caught in the middle of all that. More to the point, I think it would be suicidal for Obama to go on the same ticket as HRC. Possibly suicidal for the ticket as well...

I meant suicidal for Obama to go for VP with Hillary. Figuratively speaking, of course :-).

5. Joe is "king of his own little kingdom"...he has awesome powers and |

clout where he is right now. No way is he going to give that up. He'll stay right where he is, be available for consults, and that's it. He's not going to give up his Amtrack rides back to Delaware and leave an aged mother, his wife and family to be traipsing all over the world....
