Clue me in folks.
So I see we're at Level 1 features. I skimmed GDP for a minute or two - apparently there's a scandal about a possibly doctored videotape of someone sorta linked to one of the campaigns.

Sigh.

Anyone want to join me in my fantasy where instead of this, Joe is working in the Senate during the week, and on weekends giving speeches about how McCain is not the best choice and why people should vote Biden instead? And the polls are 65 Biden, 35 McCain and the big issue is who will Biden add to his ticket....

11. Denial is legitimate. It's how I survive. I reject others' reality and substitute my own.

15. The short answer is yes. The longer answer is that there is no independent reality.

17. I'm a biologist by training, so I don't know about no independent reality
but I do know everyone's perception differs. Either way, may as well pick a nice reality! Biden 08!

2. Another thing that's great about Joe
He refers to Lugar as "Chairman Lugar" - maybe that's old habit from when the GOP was in power, but it's nice he doesn't get hung up on calling him "Ranking Member Lugar".

He'll be a great President, won't he? :)

7. Sometimes I feel like I am stuck in the denial phase of grief.
I know this sounds crazy but there is this part of me that still won't accept it.

I heard some pundit on tv talking about how it is the VP candidate's job to do the dirty work for the nominee, and I realized that I really do want Biden as VP. There is no one better to go after McCain.

23. Again, he's our last hope.
I'm sorry to be such a pessimist & I hope I'm wrong. Without a really strong VP, I don't think Clinton or Obama can win by enough to overcome election fraud. I also think it's more likely Obama would select Biden.

In that instance, I'd give him my blessing to be VP :7.

EDIT to add, I don't think anyone else could do it. I'm blank when I try to come up with a name.

13. that isn't crazy at all - when I listen to hearings I feel that strongly
"look, here's the president, right here!"

Biden as VP would feel backwards - on the other hand, he's overqualified for everything, so could certainly work as VP! :)

There's a video from Salon on the NYTimes website, a 7-minute summary of the campaign. One of the things that they included was Biden's Rudy 9/11 thing. I am convinced Biden helped finish off Rudy's campaign. He had his eyes on the ultimate goal, and same thing when he goes after McCain now. One of the strongest arguments for me was that he could take on McCain (I had a feeling it would be McCain). Anyway, seeing just that little bit made me tear up for what could have been.

I have to say I feel a bit better after both candidates' speeches tonight. Neither is Joe but they're so much better than McCain.

20. Remember when we were saying
Obama/Biden would be like Robin/Batman?

Same deal. And same deal with Clinton, IMO, regardless of Bill's experience. Joe is just SMARTER than any of 'em.

my fantasy about the Party being concerned about EITHER Clinton or Obama being able to beat the Republican Rove Machine, and they call in Joe to Save The Day.

24. I love Mighty Mouse!
It would be nice if our party & the people could have been sensible about the most important election in our country's history. I truly believe that after four years of McCain & this country will never come back. I'm worried it might be too late now.

At the Convention, things don't go well and they call upon Biden to be the nominee and the voice of reason.

30. I think he could do a lot of healing and bring in some
"maybe I'll vote for McCain" people.

It would be devastating for Obama supporters, though -- although I think Joe and Obama together could work on that.

I still think Biden/Obama would be a dream ticket.
