1. Just finished hearing these 4 segments. Going to listen to them again to make sure I've got it.
It's tremendous hearing her discussing the things we've had to pick up, bit by bit, over the last few years, and coming to the same conclusions. It's reaffirming.

I've only seen still photos of her book signing, speaking, etc. The still photos don't really capture the person at all, do they? She's a completely involved, great activist. She may be THE voice I started reading almost at the very first and she has never wavered, never disappeared, she has been in there, working, researching, asking questions, and passing along what she has learned to other people looking for answers.

There is something in her manner which doesn't come through until you see her talking. Don't know what it is. She doesn't seem to be in any way driven by egotistical needs, she's far too calm, too awakened, too aware to be egotistical. So glad for the chance to hear her after all this time.

Did you attend that meeting, by the way? Did the guy beside her speak? It would have been excellent to be there and hear people talking about the things we hear about in such small, and spun doses.

Thanks, again. I'm going to listen to it all over, as I said. Would recommend this to any and everyone.

2. Eva and the folks at the dais with her
I first met Eva about two years ago at a breakfast at the Ven embassy. She looks quite different now -- less conservative than a few years back. She is a very down to earth person and passionate about her research.

Yes, I was at the presentation. On Eva's right is Steve Ellner, author of several books on Ven. Most recent book is "Rethinking Venezuela" I don't know if the camera pans to her left, but if it does, that person is Gregory Wilpert of Venezuelanalysis.com, etc.

And yes, both Steve and Greg spoke. Both provided excellent analysis , but Eva was the Star!!
