So why would ANYONE want to be President? |
|
It's painfully obvious after these last few weeks... that's a crap job.
He is assaulted daily by literally millions of people. He can't go anywhere in public and for the rest of his families lives they'll have an SS escort.
So WHY would anyone WANT this job? The money? Nah... that's not it. Just the sheer hunger and desire for power? Nah, Obama doesn't seem like the type. The desire to change a society and possibly the world for the better? Pure altruism?
That's all I've got, it's got to be altruism. What else?

I was specifically referring to THIS POTUS... and the amount of CRAP he endures while trying to do the best for the nation 24/7...

4. It's not a "job" that you like or dislike. It is a responsability and honor |

It's like being in the military. You know you might get killed but (hopefully) your job is to protect others and that makes it worthwhile and honorable.
We have a funny idea of the Presidency. If someone is doing it because of what *they* get or don't get, we have the wrong people. If Obama has the "right stuff", it is all worthwhile regardless.

10. Some crave the power, money and attention. But some don't. |
|
Carter did not seem to. Clinton on the other hand...
Obama was a community organizer and gave up a well paid existence to do jobs that paid less but were more proactive. Some people want to change certain things, for the good or bad.
