Lousiana Editorial on MSNBC
I don't remember what was said. But you have to listen to this crap. It's during the time of Ed Schultz talk----who surprised me rather well in taking things in. He's been a bit silly but I think he heard some of the voices of reason on DU. Which is interesting but something else.

Anyway...this is what the editorial said which boggles my mind. They say they didn't agree with the 6 month moratorium on deep oil drilling. Yet...they want to ask Obama what he will do to rejuvenate the marshland.

So they want their cake and eating it too. You have fools out there who want them drill but still keep the earth beautiful for the future. ~sigh~

2. Tons of people in LA have said the same thing too. We need to change a whole way of life.
This will take longer then Obama's term, really.

I always care what you say. :)

3. Thanks Jennicut.
:pals:

It seems that this will have to be a massive change that needs to take place. I think a lot of people on DU are thinking for granted that this oil spill has actually in some way altered people's perception on fossil fuels. It hasn't. What it has done however is changed the way it's done. What I mean to say, people are now concerned about the safety and if these companies are following the proper procedures. However, they still want oil and they still want to government to drill for it.

This leads into the other point I want to make...this is why this is not a failure on the part of the administration---unlike what the pundits are saying--- in response to the situation or the situation as a whole. Surprisingly, I think the American people think he's doing the best he can in this bad situation and just want us to get out of it. And I think people are more willing to put an effort into alternative energy now...but still want to keep digging for oil.

I have to say---these people in Louisiana are a perfect example. They want oil drilling but they also want the want the wet-lands without realizing that we are unfortunately risking one for the other and I think they won't believe either.

4. It is a hard sell to these types of people and policy speeches in prime time with tons
of details might turn these people off. I think the speech was to these types of people.
