Looking forward to a traditional Christmas dinner--if "traditional" includes
two Jews, a Buddhist, a New Ager, a pagan/Buddhist, and a token Christian.

5. I don't believe, from what I've read here anyway,
that they celebrate anything at this time of year. Even the idea of putting up Pagan decorations like evergreen wreathes seems to be abhorrent to them.

4. Season's greetings?
It would seem all of you are gathering together to celebrate the season regardless of religious traditions, like it was before there were any Jews, Buddhists, New Agers, Pagans or Christians.

8. Some atheists I know celebrate the Solstice
as an astronomical event. A lot like the pagan idea, actually. Yule (Jul) in the nordic languages is the same word as "Wheel" (hjul in modern Dan., Norw., Swed.) and memorializes the idea of the turning of the seasons.

Then there's always the idea of Festivus, which I had to look up on Wikipedia because of my lack of knowledge of anything that's been on TV in the last 40 years or so.

12. They had leftovers today
they love meat... any meat. Vet told us conures eat a lot of meat in the wild. Nothing funnier than a nanday asking, no, begging for seconds.
