We never had a Liberal Media in this country....
We had a responsible media for a brief time from the late 30's to the late 70's...

After years and years and millions of words written about how liberal the media was, it succumbed to the pressure and started to include wackadoodle views in order to appear balanced.

Ever since Reagan ran in 1980, the media turned away from being responsible to being cowed by the blunt force of whiny conservatives.

Now, any opinion, no matter how crazy, is given equal balance to scientific and well researched positions. Data means nothing. Screaming and accusations count as much as reams of data.

We have gone through the looking glass...

1. And that one lie has done untold damage to America
by convincing so many that things are really more-to-the-right than the M$M tells them.

My own step dad quoted me that media-is-liberal bullshit and I've never had the same respect for him since.

And from inside there, all is crazy.

Well said.

6. they had to because their philosophy and ideals are corrupt
and bankrupt. How else could they convince folks when there is a balance in the media regarding political point of views.

4. Too true.
But it was nice to have an adult, responsible media that wasn't schilling 24/7, even outright lying, for the multinationals and their stooges.

An excellent, and very illustrative example of how far they've fallen:

7. In the binary world of conservatives, if it isn't agreeing 100%, it HAS to be liberal
A truely balanced media can't exist for them, if it isn't 100% talking points they drool over, it is wildly left wing. With us or against us. No shades of gray.
